Bridging Boundaries: Shaping AI, Privacy and Security at the U.S. Embassy in Paris

The U.S. Embassy in Paris, together with Data Dynamics, recently hosted a high-level roundtable that brought some of France’s top business and government leaders into the same room to tackle one of today’s most pressing issues: the critical nexus of AI, data privacy, and security.

Presided over by U.S. Ambassador to the French Republic, Denise Bauer, the event featured an impressive lineup of decision-makers and industry stalwarts from organizations across industries all coming together to dive deep into data sovereignty, consumer trust, and the fast-changing regulatory challenges around AI.

Ambassador Bauer’s keynote really hit home, “With AI technology advancing at an unprecedented pace, safeguarding data privacy and security is more crucial than ever. Today, the focus is on fostering innovation within ethical frameworks to ensure AI’s transformative power benefits society without compromising individual freedoms. Global collaboration is key to achieving this balance.”

The discussions were both meaningful and inspiring, centered on creating frameworks that not only keep pace with technological advancements but also set the standard for making AI trustworthy and transformative. A big thank you to everyone who joined us, including the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) and Max Horwitz, for making this conversation so impactful. And an especially heartfelt thanks to Ambassador Bauer, who reminded us all why collaboration and trust are at the core of shaping AI’s future.

This was just the start—and we look forward to many more discussions like this in the future. Together, we’re shaping how AI can truly benefit society while keeping data safe and secure.
